Exhibit: narrative contemporary folk | plein air | surrealism

September 1 - October 6

Narrative Exhibit

narrative is a return to innocence. A moment in history where the artist finds splendor in the ordinary and alters its perception.  The exhibit is a visual documentation of connected events, real or imaginary. The exhibit assembles the works of local contemporary folk, plein air artists, a local sculptor / ceramicist who’s sculptures are expressionistic and powerful; as well as surrealistic oils that combine fantasy, eroticism, humor, and a deep, esoteric understanding of life into a visual assortment that leaves a lasting impression.

narrative “is an appreciation of the simple daily experience and the rituals we create to celebrate and validate our existence as humans.” – Jo Ann Nava.

A visual display, depicting our customs, values and unique individuality thereby celebrating our humanity.
