A Herman LeVern Jones’ TheatreSouth production. “I Have A Dream” Broadway Musical on the life and times of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. chronicles the major events of the Civil Rights Movement from December 1, 1955 when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white person up until April 4, 1968 when Dr. King was assassinated. Audiences of all ages will be captured The Letter from a Birmingham Jail, the famous “I Have A Dream” speech, Dr. King’s assassination and funeral, and Coretta Scott King’s stirring speech in Memphis after his death. Singing, dancing and historical images of the Civil Rights Movement add excitement to the re-telling of the events that shaped the movement for racial equality and human rights.
