Call for Dancers

The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department is seeking both male and female dancers and dance companies for an original Black History Production produced by the Department entitled, “Progress.” All genres of dance are welcome including (but not limited to) ballet, hip hop and swing.  An honorarium will be provided to selected dancers. Call for Arts Education Professionals

The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department is seeking Arts Education professionals for the upcoming school calendar year (September 2019 – May 2020).  Classes and workshops will be offered at Pompano Beach’s cultural venues in many artistic disciplines including (but not limited to): music, dance, voice, digital media, visual arts, performance arts, and the business of the arts. Eligibility includes: Must be an active not-for-profit Florida corporation in good standing; Mission of the organization must include arts education with public programming; Organization must have a proven track record of providing arts education services for a minimum of five (5) years in Broward County.

CALL FOR EMERGING FILMMAKERS

The City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department invites emerging filmmakers to participate in the monthly program, Montage – A Film Series. The Department created this monthly film series to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers to engage a local following. Montage will feature curated film screenings, industry networking events, workshops, artist talks and panel discussions. The film series will take place on the last Thursday of each month and will rotate among the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, Bailey Contemporary Arts and Historic Ali Cultural Arts venues.
