Nirvana and rise of indie music in the 90’s

Sub Pop Records co-founder Bruce Pavitt reflects on independent media and its power to change global culture. His Seattle based record label, started from humble beginnings, signed an unknown group named Nirvana which helped put Seattle “on the map.” Join Pavitt for an intimate look at what it was like in the early years, including images from his book and photography exhibit Experiencing Nirvana.
In addition to the author’s presentation, there is a photography art exhibition that will be on view from July 12 – September 21.
